Recording kept building. The share of active businesses recording both money in and money out rose 6 points to 62%, with 52 businesses keeping both sides. 58 active businesses recorded on 3 or more days, a hit rate of 69%.

Recording activity

Entry counts against the prior period. Counts, not amounts.

Entries grew across the board. Money in rose from 1,445 to 1,642 and money out from 261 to 312. Entries per active business climbed 8% to 23.3. The share recording both sides rose 6 points to 62%, with 52 businesses now keeping both.

New vs returning

Nine new businesses joined this period and recorded 172 entries, up from six businesses and 61 entries in the prior period. Returning businesses recorded 1,782 entries.

Watchpoints

Businesses by number of active days. An active day is a day with at least one entry.

Two things to watch. First, 24 businesses (16%) are dormant, with no entries for three or more weeks. That is a short follow-up list, not a broad problem. Second, money out is recorded about five times less often than money in, so costs stay partly hidden for many businesses. Both respond well to a check-in.
